A pottery shop in Decatur, since 2019
Fennel Row Ceramics. Stoneware for the table, thrown one at a time.
8 pieces, made here on the wheel, glazed by hand and fired behind the shop. Everything on the shelf is in stock and ships within three business days.
From the shelf
Three pieces most people start with. The whole shelf is on the shop page.
Dinner plates, set of four
$140
Four 10-inch plates in the satin white glaze, matched from one batch of clay.
Why buy here
Thrown, not cast
Every piece starts as a ball of clay on the wheel. No moulds, no slip casting, so no two are quite the same and every one is sound all the way through.
Glazes that last
Four glazes, all mixed in the shop, all fired to stoneware temperature. They do not craze, chip at the rim or fade in the dishwasher.
Packed to arrive whole
Paper wrap, a kraft box and paper padding. A piece that breaks on the way is replaced, no questions.

Questions people ask
Is everything really in stock?
Yes. The shop sells what is on the shelf, and the shelf is restocked every firing, about every two weeks. If a piece sells out it shows as sold out and comes back after the next firing.
Can I order a set or a colour that is not shown?
Usually. Send a note through the contact form with the piece, the number and the glaze you have in mind, and you get a written reply with a price and a date.
How is my card handled?
The pay button opens a checkout page run by Lemon Squeezy, a payment company. Your card details go to them and never touch this site.
What if it arrives broken?
Send a photo of the piece and the box within seven days and a replacement goes out with the next batch, or the money comes back, your choice.
Do you ship outside the United States?
By arrangement. Write first; pottery is heavy and the rate is quoted per parcel.
Can I visit the shop?
Thursday to Sunday the shop is open and the shelf is the same one the website shows. Monday to Wednesday is wheel time behind a closed door.
Write to the shop
A question, a set, a glaze you have in mind, or an order you would rather place by hand. Every message gets a written reply within two business days.
Message received.
Thank you. A reply comes within two business days. If it is urgent, call the shop during shop hours.
Firing day notes
One email after each firing: what came out of the kiln, what is back on the shelf, and nothing else. Every second week or so.
