Every piece starts with a scaled drawing and a written price. The price holds for thirty days from the drawing. A change to the design after the deposit is drawn and priced again before any more wood is cut.
Deposits and lead time
A deposit holds the bench slot and buys the wood. The lead time on the drawing is the studio's honest estimate; a piece is never rushed to meet it, and the studio writes when a date moves. The balance is due when the piece is finished and photographed, before delivery.
Delivery
The studio delivers and sets in place within a day's drive. Freight elsewhere is crated in the studio and priced on the drawing. Damage in transit is the studio's to make right.
Care and repair
Every piece leaves with a written care sheet for its finish. A joint that fails in ordinary use is repaired in the studio; the sample site does not name a term, because a made-up number is worse than none.
